Housing and Homelessness Native American Heritage Month LA PowWow Marketing and Social Media

The NAIC created these sub committees because [reasons] ….

• On February 28, 2003, the Office of the Mayor moved to add the sub committee of Native American Heritage Month…Native American Heritage Month Sub Committee members are:   TRACY PEREZ,  DAWN JACKSON,  and CHERI THOMAS.
• Five years ago the NAIC moved to create the Sub Committee to organize the PowWow for the tribes of Los Angeles County…LA PowWow Sub Committee members are:  PAT LOPEZ,  JOSEPH QUINTANA,  SHAWN IMITATES DOG,  and CHERI THOMAS.
• Recently, the issue of homelessness became more serious and the Office of Board Supervisor Somebody moved to create a body that would study it and report back to the NAIC.Housing and Homelessness Sub Committee members are:  ANDREA GARCIA,  JOSEPH QUINTANA,  PAT LOPEZ,  and  CYNTHIA BEGAY.
• This is how the Sub Committee on Marketing and Social Media was added.Marketing and Social Media Sub Committee  members are:  JOSEPH QUINTANA  and  DAWN JACKSON.

In this way, and for reasons such as these, the Los Angeles City/County Native American Commission will continue to evolve and focus on our community’s needs.
