LOS ANGELES — The Clippers’ triumphed a 112-103 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday March 22, during “American Indian Night” at the Staples Center. Clippers point guard Chris Paul recorded his 6,000th career assist Saturday night, becoming the seventh NBA player to reach that mark before the end of his ninth season.
Tickets were provided by the The Los Angeles Native American Indian Commission, who have been instrumental in organizing these community events at sports games. Several American Indian people primarily from low income homes attended the game. Most of the families who attended came from the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
