Los Angeles City/County Native American Indian Commission Community-Elected Commissioner Candidate Packets & FAQs

The Los Angeles City/County Native American Indian Commission’s Elections Committee is now accepting candidate packets for individuals interested in serving on the LANAIC and the LANAIC Self Governance Board (LANAIC SGB) as a Community Elected Commissioner.

On behalf of the LANAIC the Elections Committee is holding elections to fill 5 Community Elected seats that will serve a 4-year term on both the LANAIC and the LANAIC SGB which oversees the administration of the Community Services Block Grant Native American Set-Aside Funds (CSAIBG). The term will begin Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

Completed packets are due by Friday, November 4, 2022 at 5:00 PM PST. Submission instructions are included in the Candidate Packet and below.

Candidate Packet Submission Instruction

Candidates can either submit their completed candidate packets electronically through a secure portal or in person on Friday, November 4, 2022.

1. Electronic Submission

If you are submitting electronically, please visit the below link and upload your Declaration of Candidacy, Nominating Form and documents that demonstrate candidate eligibility.

Once your documents are submitted you will receive an email from County of Los Angeles <adobesign@adobesign.com> confirming submission of your candidate packet.

2. In person submission: Friday, November 4, 2022, from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM PST
