The Los Angeles Native American Indian Commission Self-Governance Board (SGB) is hosting a community meeting to discuss the Needs Assessment at the UAII community room for June 24 from 12-2. United American Indian Involvement 1125 West 6th St, Los Angeles, CA 90017.

SGB presently provides emergency assistance through three subcontractors—United American Indian Involvement (UAII), Gabrieleno Tongva of San Gabriel and Pukuu Cultural Community Services. The basic emergency services consist of emergency food, employment assistance, bus tokens, and other possible assistance based on funds availability.

The Los Angeles City/County Native American Indian Commission was created through a joint effort of members of the Los Angeles American Indian community, Los Angeles City, and Los Angeles County governments. The Indian Commission was officially established by the County of Los Angeles on June 25, 1976.
