Los Angeles Tribal Meeting

Please join us for an informational meeting on the City of Los Angeles Motion to identify the known Native American locations and propose a plan to commemorate with artistic signage or other culturally appropriate marker.
In 2016 the City Council passed a Motion (no. 15-1341) that supports the Los Angeles City/County Native American Indian Commission (NAIC) by requesting a report on the history and cultural impacts of Native Americans in the City of Los Angeles and identify culturally and historically significant locations to the Native American community. In order to have input from the tribes, NAIC is planning a Tribal Meeting at the Autry Museum on February 17, 2018 from 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM.
