DESCRIPTION:On Saturday October 14\, 2017\, the Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians\, Pukúu Cultural Community Services\, and the City of San Fernando are co-hosting their 2nd Annual Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration on the traditional village of Paséknga\, in the quaint City of San Fernando. \nSaturday\, October 14\, 2017\nSan Fernando Recreation Park\n(208 Park Avenue\, San Fernando\, CA 91340)\n10:00 am – 7:00 pm  \nIn 2015\, Mayor Joel Fajardo and the City Council of San Fernando established Indigenous Peoples Day in place of Columbus Day\, which made the City of San Fernando the first city in Los Angeles County to right this historical wrong. \nIndigenous Peoples Day celebrates the sovereignty\, resilience\, cultures\, and unique contributions of Indigenous peoples.
