The Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) is a proud supporter of Los Angeles’s 2025 Native American Heritage Month Celebration. This celebration will promote and encourage an awareness of the significant contributions made by LA City’s Native American community members in culture, education, politics, business, technology, and the arts.
As part of this celebration, DCA is creating a comprehensive calendar and cultural guide again to showcase quality Native American artists from across Los Angeles and to list in person and online programming (exhibitions, concerts, special events, lectures, etc.) related to this annual celebration of Native American culture and heritage.
The goals are to expose Angelenos to the great works of local visual, literary, performing artists, and designers, and to make them aware of the exciting cultural activities happening as part of the celebration. Additionally, the Cultural Guide also strives to encourage appreciation of LA’s Native past artistic traditions and today’s modern, contemporary styles.
DCA invites you to please submit images of your visual or literary works of art via email to Marcia Harris at mwharris@whitleycompany.com. Please only send high-resolution images (300 DPI or larger) and short works of poetry appropriate for publication. Please include all credit information with all works submitted. Your work may also appear on DCA’s website at culturela.org and in social media promotions for the month. Files may be submitted via email, Google Drive, Dropbox, or WeTransfer. Contact Marcia Harris by email or phone if you do not receive a confirmation email within 7 days of submitting.
